Gonna pop in a quick update for you, Banabs hahaha that's all the shout-out you will be getting from me but thank you for always checking up on me and this space :-)
So today's the last week day of the first week of Semester 2 and I am just trying to relax and not give any hoots to the piling assignments by hanging out with my little family residing in Manor Park hahaha. I would like to think that it is very unlike of me to confess this, but... I am becoming very attached to the 3 other friends who stays in the same area as me. Afterall, it has only been 4 months and we do not hang out very frequently (although we are starting to, now). My friends back home knows how detached I am, and I personally am never a fan of being fully attached to anything or anyone because I want to avoid any emotional consequences, if any.
I didn't fully understand how attached I was to them till that little shit of a Casper lied about him going back to Singapore for good at the end of this month. I don't know what got into me, and in all honesty I was shocked at my own reaction too. It is scary. If this is how it is now, I do not want to imagine what will happen when the Manor Park family is forced to disband at the end of June.
Headed to Germany with the Asian Invasion gang before the start of the second semester and it was so much fun! I probably should do up a post on this but I still have Hong Kong, Bangkok, Japan and London to cover so it is definitely going to take awhile HAHA. It was there where I had my virgin experience of thick snow and cold temperature. Can't wait for the next trip in Easter!!!!
And who says that one cannot celebrate Chinese New Year when one is not in their own homeland? Gonna head down to London (yes, for the 5th time) to soak up the new year vibes with my fellow Asians. Got my new year goodies thanks to Marcus's parents WELL HELLO PINEAPPLE TARTS ahhhh so happy so glad.
What else is there to say hm. Oh, I'm currently in the midst of applying for placement opportunities and I'm blessed to be able to pass all the other stages for one company. The last stage is coming up next week on the first day of CNY (sigh) and I really truly hope all goes well. I hate to say this but I do get intimidated when I am with a group of Westerners. Am going to stay over in London just for this assessment and I hope that the results will be worth the time and money spent. 4 stages of assessment is honestly quite a pain in the arse.
May the odds be ever in my favour, please.
Okay I believe this update should suffice. Have a good weekend everyone, especially you Banabs :-)
