A Little Food Trip

Two days back I finally found some time to meet and catch up with an old friend, Kwan, before he goes for his internship on Monday. Planning where to go got both of us a little hyped up and after all that variety of choices we had to choose from, we decided to have our lunch at...

It is not one of the most convenient places to go, but I have to say this place is really worth going. We really loved the ambiance and food. We wanted to try their All-day Breakfast but it was only available on weekends. The other appetizers and main courses are a little pricey though, about $22 exclusive of GST and service charge. The place is really empty during weekdays! So it really brings in the peaceful and cozy feeling altogether.

Tapas Set - Squid & Omelette

Roasted Chicken Pullet

Some weird-looking pasta which name I forgot. But it tastes a lot nicer than it looks!

We saw a brick wall outside Spruce and... yeah you could tell what happened haha.

Walked around for a bit and then we headed down to Dean & DeLuca to have our dinner. It is a nice place - they have a small shop in front of the store selling all sorts of stuff before you reach the counter. Food was decent enough, and comparing the two Spruce is definitely better heh.

The shop that sells all sorts of things!

Pan-seared Salmon

The New Yorker

(I forgot what this is called)

Wanted to head down to The Marmalade Pantry for desserts but it was closed when we reached so we decided to randomly enter TWG to satisfy our sweet tooth. And man, it was good stuff!!! Had to down sugar because I lost a game of scissors, paper, stone though darn it.

Fruit Tart

The Explorer - fusing Singapore & Paris tea with freshly squeezed orange juice

Caramel & Rose Macaroons

It was definitely a good day out even though I talked till my throat went dry haha. Can't wait to head down to Spruce again to try their all-day breakfast meals. Have fun during your internship, retard :-)
